Constellation confirms purchase of Mondavi | November 4 2004
The world's largest wine company is expanding yet further with confirmation last night that Constellation Brands is buying the Robert Mondavi Corporation. The two companies say they have signed a 'definitive merger agreement' for Constellation to acquire all outstanding Mondavi shares. The total value of the purchase is about $1.36 billion (£704 million).
